This website is the showcase of some of my photographic work in my effort to present the
viewers the beautiful colours of life, landscape and nature in my country Brunei Darussalam.
I am Shahminan Ibrahim, a self-taught photographer who has been in the world of photography
since 1992 and have a particular penchant for landscape and nature photography.
This gallery also includes my work on Kampung Air or the Water Village as part of my
endeavour, however small, to promote this centuries-old and unique village to the world through
my lens.
Many times, we go slightly beyond reality in a photograph, but in most of my work, I try to present
the true reflection of the mood and the colour of the scene. It usually gives extra satisfaction.
The era of digital has certainly made it a lot easier to be a 'photographer'. However, it still takes
years of experience and skills to master the art and with all the years under my belt, I have never
stopped learning. Keep shooting!
